Bio for Alison Ross

Since starting her extensive international career, Alison has skirted the line between business and technology, feeling comfortable in both environments. She is naturally curious and has an insatiable need to understand why things are done the way they are, how they could be done differently – more simply. This led Alison to a career as a Business Analyst where she can either work with the big picture or simplify the complex for her Stakeholders.

A huge proponent of Business Process Mapping in the project Discovery phase, Alison’s purpose is to try and bring clarity to an organization and understand gaps or problems in the current business structure. Her passion is to tease apart those problems until they are fully understood and can be solutioned one by one.

Alison has held increasingly senior positions in both consulting companies and corporations, working across multiple industries. It is with this depth and breadth of experience that she has been involved firsthand with many different project approaches in diverse business environments – some successful and some not. Knowing strongly what leads to a positive outcome is a focused Discovery phase with the use of process mapping, Alison started RedCat Consulting Group with this goal in mind. She is now working successfully with her partners using this approach, mainly in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Digital Transformation space. 

A native of Great Britain, she has also lived and worked in Paris, France; Stockholm, Sweden; Miami, FL and currently lives in the Minneapolis-St Paul, MN area. Alison also has worked with clients across Central and Latin America.
